Great: UBTech Robotics has made history by deploying its humanoid robot, Walker S1, at Audi-FAW’s New Energy Vehicle plant in Changchun, China—marking the first humanoid robot integrated into Audi’s global production system. Walker S1 plays a crucial role in quality inspection, specifically detecting refrigerant leaks in air conditioning systems—a task previously performed by humans and posing respiratory risks due to exposure to volatile gases. By automating this process, Audi enhances workplace safety while improving efficiency in its production line. Standing 172 cm (5 feet 8 inches) tall and weighing 76 kg (168 lbs), Walker S1 is designed for industrial environments. It can carry up to 15 kg (33 lbs) without losing stability, thanks to its adaptive motion control and military-grade durability. These features allow it to operate continuously in demanding conditions, making it an ideal solution for smart manufacturing. Beyond Audi, UBTech’s Walker S series has gained traction amon

The Chinese EV makers owe their success to a very large domestic market. This also applies to a number of other products.

The World Bank has raised its forecast for China's economic growth to 4.9% in 2024 and 4.5% in 2025. The revisions, announced on Thursday, reflect improved export strength and recent policy easing aimed at stabilising the economy, including measures to support the real estate sector and consumer spending. This represents a slight increase of 0.1 percentage points for 2024 and 0.4 percentage points for 2025 over the bank's previous estimates.

Chinese companies and researchers filed a new record of 20,081 #patent applications at the European Patent Office (EPO) in 2024, accounting for 10.1% of all applications received by the office and cementing China's position as the world's fourth-largest filer, according to the office's Patent Index 2024, released on Tuesday. Huawei led the company ranking with 4,322 applications, placing second overall at the EPO. Five additional Chinese companies were among the top 50 filers.

Great: “What the United States is doing actually will drive more companies to China rather than away from China,” Jeffrey Sachs, a Professor at Columbia University, told China Focus during the China Development Forum 2025 on Sunday. He believes China’s openness to foreign partners is very important.

That's why mfg has been mass exodus. Investing in a communist country is high risk and rewards will be limited by that very government.

According to BofA analysts, optimism about China has reached its peak in years, with a record number of investors no longer viewing the market as structurally bearish. This shift coincides with rising expectations for increased household spending and investment rather than cash hoarding, according to analysts.

Great: Crucially, Chinese equities are less vulnerable to FX swings than stocks in many other countries, with over 80% of MSCI China firms’ revenue domestically-sourced. China's equity market is also home to global industry leaders like automaker BYD that have significant structural advantages: export prices for its vehicles are two to three times domestic levels, yet remain competitive globally, rendering marginal exchange rate shifts largely inconsequential.
