Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services, Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB), which rose 6.05% or 0.99 points to trade at 17.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO) added 5.00% or 2.08 points to end at 43.65 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:BIMBOA) was up 4.77% or 3.17 points to 69.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA), which fell 0.89% or 0.11 points to trade at 12.22 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO) declined 0.75% or 0.09 points to end at 11.96 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (BMV:FEMSAUBD) was down 0.63% or 1.26 points to 198.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 125 to 119 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.67% or 15.55 to $2,344.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.37% or 1.09 to hit $80.81 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 1.17 to trade at $85.42 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.58% to 18.40, while EUR/MXN fell 0.64% to 19.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.88.
