I keep my Buy active for next week because I believe this will jump higher by 03.03.2025 Monday as Trump tariffs come into active on 01.03.2025 Saturday.

well, services dont normally get tariffed. South Africa will never be in a strong bargaining position witht the US, whatever the inbalances are. any reduced business witht he US will hurt them disporationatly especialy in a aworld where all the growht is happning in the US.

A tariff is a tax imposed by one country on the goods and "services" imported from another country VAT on imported services must be paid by the recipient. S.A. must surely be able to source services from elsewhere because the US is ranked U think 13th or so in education so there are 12 other potential service providers and several service based economies in the world.

Bodacious 1.ok, but trump is not imposing tariffs on services 2. irrelevant, and you digress but for your argument sake US no a)13th school education b) no.1 tertiary/ post grad which matters more for services c) even more important, education in US is less relevant as attracts human capital from all over the world. I am south african came over to yale and now work here. musk is another example who didn't go through their school education system. but you digresssl

What I said was S.A. in response could simply tariff the service industry given the US runs a trade surplus in services with S.A. My point being anyone can tariff another. For example S.A. is not allowed to manufacture it's own vehicle brands it can only assemble western vehicle brands because of unfair trade practices been in place for decades. So imposing steel tariffs for example is in fact tariffing companies in S.A. such as Smoltz and Bickenbach which are in fact European companies. So tariffing S.A. on steel which comes from Germany and imposing taxes on exports e.g. vehicles assembled in S.A. under unfair trade practices is hardly an honest practice.
