Actually if You are a roaster you never lose money on coffee, you just earn less. If you're just a trader then it's a different story.

And what story would they sell now? A second third and fourth bloom? The rains? They've been raining for a month now. Record exports from Brazil? We've had it for a long time, too. Will they find new and unknown warehouses in Europe or the US full of coffee?

Leal, in my system of coordinates :) 285 level is not significant, 275 was significant as a long term resistance level but 285 on the way up is just a number, no more... From my point of view the logical end for current move is within 300 - 320 - 340 cluster and then retest of the broken resistance trend line into 260 - 300 or so, or a real squeeze instead, it will depend on the catalysts... All time frames stoch (D, W, M) point to a continuation of the move, there is still some powder :):):) ! For sure lots of factors are already priced in and what USDA will say about Vietnam, Brazil and globally in Nov, Dec will be triple important. If, for example, USDA will lower Vietnam dramatically - it will be one story, if it will be just 1mb - another, same about Brazil and globally... We all have to remember every day, that current price :) officially :):):) for public and pure technical short term traders is taking place on ... just roughly 10% reduction by CONAB and this is it (for now) and that explains why so many expect collapse :) every day, etc. On the weather side :), the high temps continue breaking seasonal records widely so, nobody knows what's gonna be next for Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Colombia, CAM, etc. If high temps will stay strong until solar cycle 25 peak (which is still expected in summer 2025 by many), weather may make more damage for Brazil, etc.

( I do not believe that EU will block coffee inflow :) - some compromise will be found as always, etc, and I do not believe that current move was caused by upcoming regulations only. Since 2023 temps had very real influence, it's proven by science and it was confirmed (continuing) by weather stations so, for me it is a hard fact. Weather wise, next step is global cooling and here we have a complete wild card in relation to Brazil and many other origins, as last time similar event was occurring roughly from 1645 to 1715 and there was no coffee in Brazil and Vietnam back then :). Thus, there are real chances for more bullish catalysts to come and personally, I do not see currently real big bearish catalysts ahead within next couple of years at least... But KC always has life of its own :)... My very personal opinion is that real fun is ahead of us, but it is impossible to say if it's gonna happen this year or next, etc. I do believe it will happen very soon though :)... )

(The distance from the close to 300 is way too short and sweet not to try to squeeze those that went short recently :) and then to sell the spike, etc, many technicals point to 300 level for me :) personally. But in current environment the volatility works both sides, this fact also has to be taken into the account. For me 300 level is very very logical :):):). )
