Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 0.59% or 0.12 points to trade at 19.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.22% or 0.01 points to end at 2.29 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 0.15% or 0.01 points to 3.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which fell 2.04% or 0.30 points to trade at 14.38 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 2.00% or 0.11 points to end at 5.39 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was down 1.95% or 0.26 points to 13.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.12% or 0.10 to $85.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $81.66 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.40 to trade at $2,341.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 105.54.
