Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.33% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 5.56% or 5.00 points to trade at 95.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) added 1.89% or 200.00 points to end at 10,800.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) was up 1.12% or 100.00 points to 9,000.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which fell 4.79% or 2,780.00 points to trade at 55,220.00 at the close. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) declined 3.06% or 560.00 points to end at 17,720.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) was down 2.12% or 260.00 points to 12,020.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.41% or 3.20 to $229.45 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 6.17% or 579.00 to hit $8,811.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 26.70 to trade at $2,373.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.06% to 4,164.45, while BRL/COP fell 0.28% to 763.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 105.32.
