The investment seeks maximum long-term total return. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of borrowings, if any, for investment purposes) in equity securities of foreign companies representing at least three countries other than the United States. The sub-adviser will emphasize established companies in individual foreign markets and will seek to stress companies and markets that the sub-adviser believes are undervalued. The fund will invest primarily in securities of companies domiciled in developed markets, but may invest up to 10% of its assets in securities of companies in emerging countries.

Earlier, GD founded the international equity department at Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley and earlier served as a vice president and international equity portfolio manager for Scudder, Stevens & Clark. While there, he also co-managed a closed-end country fund. GD began his investment industry career in 1982. GD earned a bachelor's degree in religious studies from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in business administration from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
