Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital growth through investments in stocks. The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in the common stocks of a diversified group of growth companies. While most assets will typically be invested in U.S. common stocks, the fund may invest in foreign stocks in keeping with the fund's objective. The fund is non-diversified.

Specifically, Mr. Gillespie was the chairman of the investment committee of the T. Rowe Price Growth Stock Fund from 1994 to 1996, and president of the New Age Media Fund from 1993 until 1997. From 1980 through 1984, Mr. Gillespie was a Senior Financial Analyst at Geico Corporation. Mr. Gillespie received a B.A. cum laude from Bates College in 1980 and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University in 1986. In addition, Mr. Gillespie is on the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Bates College and Pomfret School.
