Investment Strategy

The investment seeks total return emphasizing both current income and capital appreciation. The fund invests in income-oriented equity securities that the portfolio managers believe will be able to grow their dividends over time. The portfolio managers strives to deliver a total return with lower volatility relative to the Russell 1000® Value index. The fund may invest in real estate investment trusts (“REITs”) and other real estate companies, convertible securities (including convertible preferred stock, which receives preference in the payment of dividends) and common stocks.

From 1986 to 1995, he served as a vice president and portfolio manager with Prudential Investment Advisors. Prior to that, he worked as an investment analyst at Chubb Life Insurance Company and as an organic chemist for Exxon Research. Gleason holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
