Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to provide capital growth in excess of the Standard & Poors 500 (Net TR) Lagged index after fees have been deducted over a three to five year period by investing in equity and equity related securities of large-sized US companies. The Fund is actively managed and invests at least two-thirds of its assets in the equity and equity related securities of large-sized US companies. Large-sized companies are companies which, at the time of purchase, are considered to be in the top 85% by market capitalisation of the US equities market.

Biography Frank joined as a Portfolio Manager for Global and US Large Cap Equity portfolios. He joined in 2017 from Frankfurt-based Union Investment where he was a global portfolio manager. Ian joined the Investment team of Legal & General Assurance in 1980. He was appointed as US Equity portfolio manager one year later. In 1991 Ian was responsible for running the Unit Trust Funds for Legal & General. In1996 Ian was appointed head of North American Equities in addition to managing the Life, Pension and Unit Trust Funds. Ian has achieved Standard & Poors A* funds rating for performance both with Legal & General and Schroders.

Biography Philip is an investment director and is the head of US retail. Prior to joining SW in 2002 worked for Schroders as an investment director in US equity team. Before Philip worked for Perpetual as a senior US equity manager (1984 - 2001). He joined the company as a graduate trainee assisting on the US Funds. 1987-1997 Philip was US fund manager for the US Proportion of International funds. 1997-2001 he was the manager of Perpetual's top performing US Equity Funds.
