Investment Strategy

The investment seeks total return (consisting of capital appreciation and income). To pursue its goal, the fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities. It seeks to focus on dividend paying stocks and other investments that provide income. In selecting securities, the fund's portfolio managers use a proprietary computer model to identify and rank stocks within an industry or sector, based on several characteristics. It may invest in stocks with either value or growth characteristics.
