Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 65% of its net assets in foreign companies in developed markets. It also may invest up to 35% of its total assets in companies in emerging markets. The fund generally invests in at least three countries other than the United States but may invest up to 25% of its total assets in securities of U.S. issuers. It normally invests a majority of its net assets in the common stock of small- and mid-sized companies with market capitalizations in the range of market capitalizations in the MSCI ACWI ex USA Growth Index (Net), the fund's primary benchmark, at the time of purchase.

He has lived and worked in Sweden, Japan and Taiwan. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and has studied five other foreign languages. Chris holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and an MA in International Studies from the School of Arts and Sciences, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in Political Science. Chris is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) having earned his charter in 1998 and is a member of CFA Chicago. Biography Prior to co-founding Kabouter, Marcel was a Principal of Wanger Asset Management, where he co-managed the Wanger International Small-Cap Fund, a five-star Morningstar rated fund, the Acorn Foreign Forty Fund, and the Wanger Foreign Forty Fund. Marcel also served as an international equity analyst for these funds and for all other international funds managed at Wanger. In all, he had direct responsibility for managing over $1.0 billion in international small and mid-cap stocks. Prior to working at Wanger, he was an analyst at Steiner Diamond & Co., a Chicago-based investment firm, and a manager in the litigation consulting department at Price Waterhouse in San Francisco. Marcel possesses varying degrees of fluency in Dutch, Portuguese, French, and German. Marcel co-authored two research papers titled Anatomy of the Small-Cap Anomaly and the Importance of Investor Relations in Unlocking Value in International Equities. Biography Roger Edgley, CFA is Director of International Research for Wasatch Advisors. Prior to joining Wasatch in 2002, Mr. Edgley was a principal, director of international research and portfolio manager for Chicago-based Liberty Wanger Asset Management. Mr. Edgley joined Wanger Asset Management as an equities analyst in 1994. Mr. Edgley is a native of the United Kingdom and earned a BS with honors in Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire, a MA in Philosophy from the University of Sussex and a MS in Social Psychology with Statistics from the London School of Economics.
