Investment Strategy

The investment seeks a balance between a high level of current income and growth of capital, with a greater emphasis on growth of capital. The fund invests approximately 70% of its assets in Class A shares of the Underlying Portfolios, which are portfolios of Brighthouse Funds Trust I and Brighthouse Funds Trust II and approximately 30% of its assets in equity derivative instruments, primarily stock index futures, and a portfolio of fixed income instruments that serve as a collateral for the equity derivative instruments.
