Investment Strategy

The investment seeks to provide shareholders with income exempt from Federal income tax and New Jersey personal income taxes. The fund invests primarily in a portfolio of long-term investment grade New Jersey municipal bonds. Under normal circumstances, it will invest at least 80% of its assets in New Jersey municipal bonds. At least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in investment grade securities. The fund's weighted average maturity will be more than ten years. It is non-diversified.

Biography Walter O’Connor, CFA, is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Municipal Funds team within BlackRock’s Global Fixed Income Group. He is also a member of the Municipal Bond Operating Committee, which oversees all municipal bond portfolio management, research and trading activities. Mr. O’Connor’s service with the firm dates back to 1991, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, he was a portfolio manager for municipal bond retail mutual funds. Prior to joining MLIM, Mr. O’Connor was with Prudential Securities, where he was involved in trading, underwriting, and arbitrage for municipal securities and financial futures. Mr. O’Connor earned a B.A. degree in finance and philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 1984.

Biography Roberto Roffo is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Fund’s since its inception. He has over 25 years experience as a Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining R&C Investment Advisors, LLC in 2019, Mr. Roffo was the Senior Portfolio Manager, Asset Management Development and Portfolio Consultant for HJ Sims/Braintree Capital Partners from 2016 to 2018; the Senior Vice President and Head of Municipal Fixed Income, Advisors Asset Management from 2013 to 2014; Managing Director/Senior Portfolio Manager of SMC Fixed Income Management where he managed mutual funds, separately managed accounts and structured products totaling $2 billion from 2006 to 2013; Managing Director of Claymore Advisors where he managed mutual funds and separately managed accounts totaling $1.2 billion from 2003 to 2006; Director and Portfolio Manager of Merrill Lynch Asset Management from 1992 to 2003. Mr. Roffo earned a BA degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Mr. Darcy, an investment professional since 1980, joined Hartford Investment Management in 2010. Mr. Darcy was with BNYMellon Asset Management from 1994 until joining Hartford Investment Management, most recently as a Senior VP and Senior Portfolio Manager, Tax-exempt Asset Management.
