Investment Strategy

The Fund provides exposure to a diversified portfolio of global infrastructure securities which are listed, or expected to be listed, and are issued by entities that have as their primary focus (in terms of income and/or assets) the management, ownership and/or operation of infrastructure and utilities assets. The Fund may also provide exposure to hybrid or debt securities issued by infrastructure entities. The portfolio is hedged to Australian dollars.

Biography Barry is a Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst for the Global Listed Infrastructure Team at Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). He supports the management of Global Listed Infrastructure portfolios and is also responsible for covering utility stocks in the Americas region. In addition, Barry co-manages a climate solution strategy with members of MAM’s Global Natural Resources and Sustainability teams. Morgan Asset Management where he was responsible for managing portfolios and businesses in London, Tokyo, and New York for more than a decade. Biography Anthony was previously a Senior Portfolio Manager for Macquarie Asset Management’s (MAM) Global Listed Infrastructure (GLI) investment team, a role he had assumed in 2010. In this role, he oversaw multiple listed infrastructure strategies serving clients in Asia, Europe, and North America. Anthony had been part of the GLI investment team since 2004 and launched Macquarie’s Sustainable GLI strategy in 2018. Prior to 2010, he was an analyst on a team researching listed infrastructure securities in Europe and Asia Pacific. He was also previously a member of the MAM Equities & Multi-Asset Investment Governance committee. Prior to joining the firm, Anthony worked in a variety of roles at Westpac Banking Corporation, J.P. Morgan, Coca-Cola Amatil, and Qantas Airways. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and finance from the University of New South Wales. He has passed the CPA Australia exam and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Jonathon S. Ong Portfolio Manager 2014 2019
Biography Jonathon joined Macquarie’s Infrastructure Securities team in Sydney as a Portfolio Manager in 2008. He has been a member of the team’s Investment Committee since then. Prior to joining Macquarie, Jonathon held analyst and PM roles at Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he worked for 8 years in Sydney and Tokyo. His portfolio management and analytical responsibilities were primarily focused on infrastructure and related stocks. Prior to CSAM, Jonathon spent 3 years as an Asia-Pacific utilities and telecom analyst for Bankers Trust. He started his career as a sell-side analyst in Hong Kong for Kim Eng Securities.
