The fund invests in the public equity markets of developed countries in Europe. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the banking sector. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the STOXX Europe 600 Banks Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. The fund was formerly known as iShares (DE) I - iShares STOXX Europe 600 Banks (DE). iShares (DE) I - iShares STOXX Europe 600 Banks UCITS ETF (DE) was formed on April 25, 2001 and is domiciled in Germany.
