Recession bubble is about to burst in Mexico due the latest poor economic report from 2024. Along all the imposed tariffs from US starting Feb 1st. And Chaira Mayor Pre-Sirivienta Vicky Chacha-baun sending a letter to Google regarding Golfo de Mexico matter. That is a lot atole for all the Chimpan-Chairos croqueteros. Hold it the 2025 ride is about to start.

don't exactly know but I just came into some money, by this weekend it should spike some for the tariffs. I really love both countries, I hope during this administration there's a sane back and forth with this pair

Mantaining the rate at 10% would force the mexican economy to recession, less remittances and the social free money programs

Mexico’s economy is to take a hit as Trump’s tariffs kick in this Saturday, making exports to the U.S. more expensive. On top of that, thousands of recently deported migrants will strain local resources without adding to economic output. The peso will weaken as investor confidence drops, capital outflows increase, and the trade balance worsens.

Today, Colombia just got a preview of what’s in store for Mexico if Claudia doesn’t take action and stop protecting the cartels. Tariffs on Mexico will easily trigger a recession.
