why did hertz choose to dump all their teslas at a huge loss ?
Because the loss coming from the continuing usage of these economically unfeasible products would be much higher.
Rok sko to rok lo.lol
Rok sko to rok lo ..lol
As we said last week Buy Copper @ 4.80 for the Target 5.20., Not Target met in just 3 trading session only ,I expect this target will hit in 30 days..lol
Can we sell for 5? Pull back?
,Wait for fresh selling until a technical nagative candle on charts.Avoid fresh Shorts
This bullish run has got to stop somewhere…eventually these prices will put brakes on actual business.
Of course higher metal prices do slow down the production. Copper is needed for military equipment, EVs, and eletric infrastructure for them. But copper happens to be extremely cheap for them even now. A typical Tesla car uses 180 pounds of copper, some 900 dollars. That is a small fraction of the price of the car. Of course if the copper price doubled, they would continue to produce the cars, they would just be $900 more expensive, so no significant brakes should be expected before the doubling or tripling of the copper price etc. But there will be other materials that will actually become too costly at some moment.

May 17, 2024 9:33AM ET not to be sure.. but if keeps raising then next yearly resistance @5.16x... cmp 5.0400.. personally prefer to stay out till Monday... heavy volatile. and as well trading on very higher range
5.16 done.. now somewhat a chance to get some healthy correction since its been a yearly resistance.
Cu movement is interesting as most economies are not building. Chips are overproducing for weak consumer demand. Must be because home lisings in some areas dramatically increased and price decreases in the south are rising. FHA default rate is double 2019 and banks see something circling the drain and builders getting ready to trounce.
BEIJING (Reuters) - China's commerce ministry launched an anti-dumping probe on Sunday into POM copolymers, a type of engineering chemicals, imported from the EU, U.S., Japan and Taiwan. The chemicals can partially replace metals such as copper and zinc, and have various applications, including in auto parts, electronics and medical equipment, the ministry said in a statement.
it's not a bad substitute ... rigid, non-porous, non corrosive, lighter weight & makes cars more energy efficient.

Have you ever seen a copper price disparity of 11% between COMEX and LME? Certainly not! This all started this week. The current spread is 5.7%: COMEX: USD 5.0825 per pound (453.592 grams) LME: USD 10597.85 per ton (1000kg) 5.0825 / 453,592 x 10000000 = 11205,00 11205,00 / 10597,85 = 1,057 This means that producers are now selling physical copper to the COMEX in New York to get this premium. 50% of production is usually sold on the spot market. For the past week, Wall Street has been betting big on much higher copper prices, squeezing anyone betting on price parity between the copper exchanges. I have never seen this happen so consistently. I believe that copper's price rally is far from over. But hey: who the heck am I.. 🤪
10 MA could lead next week price !!
I used to trade copper when it was two dollars
So. What does copper tell you? MASSIVE INFLATION.
Goldman Sachs said 4 weeks ago its gona be 10 000/ton (5$/lb).... it hit that target. They said that after that its gona hit 12 000/ton (6$/lb) and after that 15 000/ton (7.5$/lb) i am starting to suspect that THEY are pushing it to this lvls.. you have to remember 1 thing, copper CAN BE RECYCLED even if it is 1000 yeas old cooper it still can be recycled. This is more of a ``where will Goldman Sachs`` push this price.
