Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 4.21% or 1.52 points to trade at 37.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 4.07% or 1.56 points to end at 39.85 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) was up 2.49% or 0.10 points to 4.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 2.26% or 0.43 points to trade at 18.58 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 0.55% or 0.45 points to end at 80.95 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was 0.12% or 0.00 points to 3.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 62 and 22 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.31% or 0.26 to $85.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $80.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 19.95 to trade at $2,366.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 105.26.
