Investment Strategy

The investment seeks current income exempt from federal and state income taxes for Georgia residents consistent with capital preservation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in municipal securities with income exempt from U.S. federal and Georgia state income taxes. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in securities subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax. The fund may also invest a portion of its net assets in certain taxable debt securities.

Prior to that Chris worked at Integon Corporation as a securities settlement specialist.Carter served as a portfolio manager and fixed income trader of Wachovia Asset Management from September 1998 to January 2002. He earned his B.A. from Elon University in 1991 and his M.B.A. from University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 1999. Carter holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
