Over the long-term, the investment objective of the Fund is to achieve high capital gains and a reasonable return, while giving due consideration to capital security and to the liquidity of assets. The Investment Manager seeks to achieve the Fund’s objectives by investing, directly or indirectly, and mainly, but not exclusively, in equities, cooperative society shares and participation shares (participatory instruments and rights), participation certificates and warrants of companies which are domiciled in or are chiefly active in the People’s Republic of China ("PRC").
