Prior to joining the firm in 1978, he was a contract administrator on Admiral H.G. Rickover's staff at the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. Preston earned a B.A. in economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC). Outside of T. Rowe Price, Preston is chairman of the Board of The Hill School, a college preparatory boarding school in Pottstown, PA.

Biography Hugh M. Evans III is lead portfolio manager for T. Rowe Price Distribution Management Services and manages the Strategic Partners Private Equity Fund. He also has portfolio management responsibilities for the U.S. Small-Cap strategies. Mr. Evans is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. Mr. Evans has 18 years of investment experience, 16 of which have been at T. Rowe Price. Prior to joining the firm in 1992, he was a financial analyst with Morgan Stanley & Co. in their Mergers and Acquisitions Department. Mr. Evans earned a B.A. in psychology, with distinction, from the University of Virginia, where he was a Jefferson Scholar. He holds an M.B.A. in finance from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Mr. Evans also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation. In addition, Mr. Evans is chairman of the Catholic Charities of Maryland Investment Committee.
