The investment seeks high income and some capital appreciation. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in bonds. It may invest in a variety of holdings in an effort to enhance income and achieve some capital growth. Under normal conditions, the fund will invest at least 40% of its net assets (unless foreign market conditions are not deemed favorable by the investment adviser, in which case the fund would invest at least 30% of its net assets) in securities issued by governments or companies that are organized or located outside the U.S. or doing a substantial amount of business outside the U.S.

Biography | Kenneth Orchard is a senior portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Division of T. Rowe Price and a member of the Global Fixed Income Investment Team. Biography | Steve Huber is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. He is a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Division and head of the portfolio strategy team for the global multi-sector and core/core plus mandates. Steve is president and chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Strategic Income Fund and executive vice president and chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Institutional Global Multi-Sector Bond Fund. Before joining T. Rowe Price in 2006, he was chief investment officer for the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System. Prior to that, Steve spent over 15 years in money management as a director of fixed income, director of asset allocation/quantitative strategy, and portfolio manager with Aeltus Investment Management. He also served as an actuarial assistant with William Mercer, Inc. Steve earned a B.S. in mathematics from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Steve also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. |
