The fundamental investment objective of the Fund is to achieve long-term capital growth. The fund invests primarily in common shares of small and medium sized companies in Canada and the United States. Although the fund typically invests the majority of its assets in Canadian equities, the Portfolio Adviser may invest a significant portion of the fund’s assets in U.S. equities in pursuit of opportunities not available in the Canadian market. We do not expect, however, that the fund’s U.S. equity holdings will exceed 30% of its net assets for any prolonged period of time.
