The investment objective of the fund is to provide a balance of long-term capital appreciation and a consistent level of current income. This fund invests primarily in high-quality government bonds as well as common and preferred shares of companies that are expected to provide above-average returns. The fund may also invest a portion of its assets in foreign securities. The proportion of assets invested in fixed income and equity securities may both vary between 30% and 70% at the discretion of the fund manager. Mid to large-capitalized stocks are emphasized.
