Investment Strategy
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests in publicly-traded equity securities of companies that the Advisor believes are positioned for growth due to advances in technology, communications, globalism or innovative management. The adviser will consider all companies in the world's developed stock markets, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and other stock markets in the European Union. The adviser also may consider investments in emerging stock markets. At least 40% of the fund's assets will be invested in global securities.

| Biography | Tim Guinness is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Guinness Asset Management and Guinness Atkinson Asset Management, our sister US business. He has over 35 years’ investment experience. He founded Guinness Flight Global Asset Management Ltd in 1987 and was CEO (or joint CEO) from 1987 to 1999 and a portfolio manager of the Global Equity Fund. After Investec acquired Guinness Flight in 1998, he was Chairman of the company during the transition into Investec, as well as lead manager of the Investec Global Energy Fund. In 2003 he left Investec to set up Guinness Asset Management, which was appointed the outsource manager of Investec Global Energy Fund until 2008. Tim graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in engineering. Mr. Guinness graduated from Cambridge University in 1968 with an MA in Engineering and an MSc in Management Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1970. | ||

| Biography | Edmund has managed Asian Funds since 1994 both from London and from Hong Kong. Edmund worked for ten years from 1993 for Guinness Flight, which became Investec after the merger in 1998. After joining the Far East Investment Desk in 1994, he served as a member of the investment team managing the China & Hong Kong Fund (now the Guinness Atkinson China & Hong Kong Fund, for US investors). He moved to Hong Kong and became the Fund’s lead manager in 1998. In addition, Edmund has managed the Guinness Atkinson Asia Focus Fund (for US investors) since 2003, and the Guinness Atkinson Asia Pacific Dividend Fund (for US investors) since its inception in 2006. Edmund graduated from Christ Church, University of Oxford, with a Master’s degree in Management Studies and has a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of York.
