Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of Japanese issuers and other investments that are tied economically to Japan. It normally invests primarily in common stocks and uses fundamental analysis of factors such as each issuer's financial condition and industry position, as well as market and economic conditions, to select investments.

He has twenty four years of professional experience investing in the region. Mr. Martin is a Fellow of the Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies, received an M.B.A. in Finance/Management from The Wharton School and holds an M.A. in International Studies from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Martin also holds a B.A. in Japanese Studies from Yale College, New Haven, Connecticut and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
