Investment Strategy

The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets and other investments that are tied economically to emerging markets. He manages the Emerging Markets Fund and the Institutional Emerging Markets discipline. von Rekowsky previously served as Associate Portfolio Manager for European, Middle Eastern, and African equities on the Emerging Markets Fund. He joined Fidelity’s Fixed Income Division in 1989 and served as a global research associate and municipal bond trading administrator. He then served as a sovereign debt analyst and later as an equity analyst in London. In 2004, von Rekowsky returned to Boston to assume his current role.
