Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth through capital appreciation. Under normal conditions, the fund typically invests in equity securities of U.S. and foreign companies, including common stocks, preferred stocks, and securities convertible into common or preferred stocks. It can invest in companies from a wide range of industries and of various sizes. This includes smaller companies, which are defined by the Adviser as those having a market capitalization equal to or less than that of the largest companies in the Russell 2000 Index.

Biography Mr. Garner is Director of Research and a member of the Small Cap Growth Portfolio Management team. He is also a Portfolio Manager of the Emerald Growth Fund. He is currently a board member and was formerly Chairman of Diakon Children, Family and Community Ministries, and the former Chairman of the Diakon Lutheran Fund, its endowment arm. Mr. Mertz has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal and in USA Today, and has served as speaker at various investment seminars and programs across the country. Biography Mr. Niedland joined Turner in 2014. Prior to joining Turner, Mr. Niedland was employed with Watchman Ventures as Consultant/Special Projects from 2012 to 2013, Conestoga Capital Advisers, LLC as Portfolio Manager during 2012, and Emerald Advisers as Sr. VP Portfolio Manager from 2009 to 2011. Niedland has over thirteen years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to co-founding NS Investment Partners, LLC (NSIP), he was a partner and portfolio manager at Davidson Capital Management in Devon, Pennsylvania from February 2005 to March 2006.
