Investment Strategy

The investment objective of the Fund is to maximise long-term capital appreciation, measured against a benchmark comprising 60% MSCI All Country World Daily Total Return (dividends reinvested net of withholding taxes) USD Index (NDUEACWF as quoted by Bloomberg) and 40% Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Total Return Index Unhedged USD (LEGATRUU as quoted by Bloomberg), by investing across multiple asset classes and global markets. The MSCI All Country World Index is a widely used measure of the performance of global equities, in both developed and emerging markets. The Barclays Global Aggregated Bond Total Return Index is a widely used measure of global investmentgrade fixed income markets. This index is unmanaged, is not available for investment and does not incur expenses.

Biography Gavin has 15 years' experience as an investment analyst and portfolio manager and is Head of Coronation’s Emerging Markets team. He has managed a range of South African equity and balanced funds and currently co-manages Coronation’s range of emerging market funds. Prior to joining Coronation in 1999, Gavin qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and worked for Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse First Boston in London. Gavin has an excellent track record as portfolio manager for many South African specialist equity and multi-asset class portfolios and has demonstrated an ability to generate high levels of alpha consistently.

Biography Tony is a founder member of Coronation Fund Managers and was appointed as executive chairman of the international group of companies in 2004. Recognised as one of the leading portfolio managers in South Africa, Tony was Coronation’s global chief investment officer from 1993 to 2004 and was instrumental in setting up the international operation in 1996. Prior to establishing Coronation, Tony spent seven years at UAL and eight years at Syfrets Managed Assets working in the areas of portfolio management and research.

At SG Asset Management his primary responsibility was managing corporate bonds.
