Investment Strategy

The investment seeks to provide shareholders with long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's net assets are invested in equity securities of large capitalization issuers. These companies have market capitalizations in the range of companies in the Russell 1000® Value Index at the time of purchase. The fund invests substantially in securities of U.S. issuers. The fund also invests substantially in “value” companies.

Biography	Neil T. Eigen is a Managing Director of J. & W. Seligman & Co. Incorporated, his employer since 1997. As Head of the Seligman Value Team, Mr. Eigen supervises a team of investment professionals, who, together, manage the Seligman Value Fund comprised of Seligman Large-Cap Value Fund and Seligman Small-Cap Value Fund. Additionally, the Team manages institutional assets in the value investing style. Mr. Eigen has more than 30 years of investment experience.
