The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The Portfolio seeks its objective, under normal circumstances, through investments primarily in equity securities of small capitalization companies that are believed to be undervalued in the marketplace. It normally invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings made for investment purposes) in a diversified portfolio of equity investments issued by small capitalization companies.
