Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in securities of large-capitalization companies. It primarily invests in equity securities. The fund may continue to hold securities of a portfolio company that subsequently drops below or appreciates above the large-capitalization threshold. It is non-diversified.

Biography Mr. Canakaris joined Montag & Caldwell in 1972 as a portfolio manager and research analyst. He currently serves as Managing Principal, Portfolio Manager. He previously held the roles of Director of Research (from 1973 to June 2009); of President (from 1984 to June 30, 2009); of Chief Executive Officer (from 1997 through 2005); of Chief Investment Officer (from 1984 to March 31, 2017), and of Co-Chief Investment Officer (from March 31, 2017 through 2018). He is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta, and Chairman of the Annunciation Cathedral Endowment Foundation of the Greek Orthodox Church. Mr. Canakaris is a limited partner of the Atlanta Falcons. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Atlanta, former Trustee.

Biography Mr. Jung joined Montag & Caldwell in 2001 as a security analyst. Effective January 1, 2019, he serves as Managing Principal and Director of Investments. He previously served as Co-Chief Investment Officer since March, 2017 and Co-Director of Research for the Firm (from June, 2009 to March, 2017). In February, 2015, Mr. Jung was appointed Co-Portfolio Manager to the AMG Managers Montag & Caldwell Large Cap Growth Fund and for the Large Cap Growth Strategy. In December, 2015, Mr. Jung was promoted to Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Montag & Caldwell, he was an analyst at Strong Capital Management, following the financial services sector for several large cap growth funds, and at the Robinson-Humphrey Company in Atlanta, where he followed banks and thrifts. Mr. Jung received his B.A. in 1995 from Marquette University, and his M.B.A. in 1999 from Emory University. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals. Andy is also on the board of the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House.
