It is co-managed by Vanguard Asset Management, Limited and The Vanguard Group, Inc. The fund invests in the public equity markets of the emerging countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap and mid-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE Emerging Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as Vanguard Funds Public Limited Company - Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF. Did you know that this fund holds millions in US treasury? Isn't that weird that an emerging markets fund, where one thinks he is investing in emerging markets is actually helping the united states do quantitative easing? The fund would have to be called hedged to behave like this right? Otherwise the name is misleading. Want to see it for yourself?
