The fund uses derivatives such as futures to create its portfolio. It invests in volatile stocks of large-cap companies. The fund seeks to track the performance of the S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures Index. ProShares Trust II - ProShares VIX Short-Term Futures ETF was formed on January 3, 2011 and is domiciled in the United States.

That’s because it tracks the VIX futures which are not 100% correlated. Do a bit of research on the differences, you’ll see.
