Any opinions or analysis as to why VIX is down 20% from 12/24 highs, but VXX is only down 4%?

VXX sells the first month VIX contract and buys the second month. First month is higher than second month which is rare.

Lawrence Fishburn  and people do not use stop loss in futures contracts? Traders have stop loss orders in just about any tradable instrument. Do some home work before you come out with comments like that.

30 min OR  breakouts late in the day produce some strong moves up or down depending on direction, looks like we may finally get one. They set it up for it nearly all day so lets see what comes out of it.

VXX lots of stop loss orders located just below the 38 mark so once they get hit selling may accelerate. Still the area of 35 as a good support.
