BIGC Comments

Should I buy more to average price ?
Only if you have extra money to port in for long
thank you
 agreed
60 then up to 120, watch
watching.
BOL 👍
what do you think about this stock
It's terrible for now as there's now news other than earnings to propel it. If you were going to get in for the long-run this has nearly bottomed out. I wouldn't take a large position as I see other areas to capitalize.
Dead as of now. Wont recommend , if you wanna buy then wait atleast one month or two
Break $70 and I'll consider the day a success!
Guys I don't know if you are following PLTR, it just gained about 80% in a few days (its IPO was about 1 month ago). ssss is a holdings company, and about 20% of its portfolio is Palantir. Since Palantir's IPO it actually went down. So the surge in Palantir is not reflected (yet!) at all in ssss price. I think you can benefit from the arbitrage. Look into it.
Helloi read your mist comments and i really like it so that why i would like to ask a question.im the new here i dont have any idea about stock matket but i invested to bigcmmrc and i bought 96 and when it starts t fall i keep try to buy now my average is finally 89 but i lost alot of money what do u think should i stay or sell i mean i read obe guy commet he says it ll come down till 45.now i really start to affraid so if you can give me some idea i ll be appreciate.thank you so much
Riza, to be honest I'm currently out. I exited about 2 weeks ago, in a minor profit. Waiting to see how things will evolve.  It definitely needs some good news to shake it, but if I were you I would stay in. I think this stock is at, or very close to its bottom for the next couple of months. Wait for good news that will boost the price upwards.
if next EPS is positive how its gonna effect the stock price?
I think the expectation is up of course, we're 2.5 months away so hopefully there's something else before then to pump it up.
$75 soon
I sometimes think people on bulletin boards such as this forget that making money in shares is (mostly) not instanteous. With newly-floated companies, moreover, it is very common to have wild swings. BIGC's IPO was only 3 months ago; priced at $24, it closed at about $72 on its first day; it is now (on closing of a Secondary Offering) only slightly lower. It may help anyone concerned at the losses they are currently nursing (sorry if you bought on the spike up to $160-odd) to look at the price history of, say, FB - it closed at $38 on its debut in May 2012 and had fallen to just under $18 by September.....not saying that BIGC will emulate FB, of course, but it's food for thought.
Can't agree more. It will probably start a mid-long term move upwards now. Sentiment is a roller coaster, and it obviously exited a local minima IMO. If the trend will continue it should reach ~78$ pretty fast.
Great to see some actual life in this!
indeed. its moving.
Another rough day... this needs some good news soon.
Thanks man. Needs some time and patience apperantly :)
no worries. I've been hammered on this stock, better have the patience of a saint lol.
It will recover soon. Wish you better luck
Alright folks I hope you found success elsewhere in your holdings as this was a VERY painful day. Staying positive  which is all we can do at this stage that BIGC continues to have solid quarters. Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
smooth, enlighten me please. bigc will sell 1mill new shares. members of the board and affiliates will sell their (already existed) shares too. which is the gain for bigc if already existed shares just change hands and will not take any proceeds on that? is the above correct or i have not understand?
sure. but why board and affiliates sell theirs? is something we have to worry?
& Smooth Operator, I'm a bit late to the conversation, but: (1) Secondary (aka Follow-on) offerings are relatively common, the Company issues new shares, usually at a discount to the market price, in order to raise money (for whatever reason); logically, the share price tends to fall to around the secondary offering (here, $68) then continues up or down in line with any previous trend and/or as a result of whatever other factors. (2) Separately, in the case of BIGC, certain stockholders (including some of the Board) have agreed to sell some of their shares to the Underwriters, at the secondary offering price (so theoretically not exactly at "market" but in practice not far off) - chances are, the "selling stockholders" were awarded their shares pre-IPO for a fair shade less than $68, so they're taking profits. The Underwriters have 30 days to decide whether or not to buy the Selling Stockholders' shares (logically, they won't exercise their right if they think the price will fall).....
..the option is essentially a 'sweetener' negotiated by the Underwriters. (3) Is this something that should cause concern to retail investors? Usually not, at least not in the medium/long-term.  Indeed, some might see the enforced dip as a buying opportunity (whether to lower your average entry point, or with a view to making a relatively quick profit as the share price - hopefully - goes back towards the level immediately before the SPO announcement (4) All the above just IMHO; DYOR, etc
Very Bad experience so far with BigC. O ly share where I am loosing
LOL you are talking as if you are the director of the company.
I don't think anyone takes you seriously on here.
1. I don't really care. 2. I think my comments and actions have proven themselves much more than your nonesence.
Here's your news for anyone confused:  BigCommerce holdings (NASDAQ:BIGC) has priced follow-on public offering of 1M shares of its Series 1 common stock at $68.00/share. Certain members of management and entities affiliated with directors are offering 4M shares of Series 1 common stock.
is this good or bad?
IMO bad, dilutes share-holder value, they just better have something good to show for this.
Today hurts bad. Really hope there's any good news to come, why they did a stock offering @ 68 and not at market is beyond me.
https://www.newsbreak.com/news/2051293475611/heres-why-bigcommerces-stock-is-plummeting-today
this news is from August 31stwhat are you doing here Toker
any news what is going on????
see below.
68,00 it's the price new shares will be sold. we are there already. i really hope these guys know what they are doing.
And some are selling for 66!! Selling something worth 68 for 66 i smartness :)
These guys know what they are doing. The problem is that we don't know what must to do.
Yea looked for anything to support this... 200K shares in minutes... there's the 1 million shares to be available in public offering.... but no dates if anything it would drop the value. Seems to be correcting keeping watch.
why the volume is higher today?
New share offering and execs selling off, probably double their IPO price and they want out.
what happened?
what a pump
guys, have you heard the launch of follow-on public offering? does this includes us? or only shareholders bought at ipo? is that a good thing? what do you think about that move?
I haven't heard that but if it's either an additional offering or a bought deal, then it dilutes shareholder value by adding additional shares at a reduced value (usually) so not good in my opinion. I'd need more details.
Read into it, additional 1M to be offered, it didn't state the offering price (assume at market?) or when. So the effect is dilution of shareholder value, however we're talking about 1M shares on 69M available so essentially -1.5% decline. That's a $70-75 Mill cash raise so hopefully it goes towards a big project/expansion.

finishing green today will be a miracle
over the past 2 quarters the profit beats are there, they just need to keep the momentum up... long run folks!
what do you think? buy more or wait?
if you're holding this for 2-3 years then add.
This is getting hammered today, good luck elsewhere in your holdings.
I am pretty sure that increasing COVID cases, stimulus package and online trend of shopping can bring us hope until Christmas.because there is really not any reason that this stock will tank further. And we know that it was our choice to invest in a growth stock. Its not apple or google. If it is going down sharply it has ability to recover in the matter of days.Stick to it guys set a plan and never get out early at loss.
