The GOAT ive been waiting for this move down for over a year now. You dont need to be a genius ever, but you cant take things for granted in the stock market. Oversold conditions lead to reliefs on the smallest of good news (such as a stimulus package that wont carry as much weight). You also need to take into account demand, not just supply of dolars, so if stock market starts selling off, there will be more demand for dollars. and I also see a possibilty for correction in stocks in the coming days.

When the virus first hit the USA and the market tanked, the ones who made the most money were the the ones who did not try to guess the bottom.  They waited but they did not wait too long. They saw the market at a discount and got in.  The rest were left waiting for the bottom as the market reversed course and left them behind.  We may have a few drops of downside for the dollar but I feel  it is at a discount right now and it's a good time to go long because when it reverses it will do so quickly and again many will be left behind.   It may be vaccine news, it may be positive news of peace between the US and China, or something else, but the dollar will slingshot back up. Signed, a 14 year old gamer.

Dollar declining has lessons, IMO. Example: foreign investors in US equities find it more difficult to extract good returns. I think the decline also represents a probablt displacement of the global economic epicenter from the USA to (mainly) EU and to a lesser extent, China. Those 2 regions have managed the virus far better, and are experiencing sustained economic recovery while the USA descends towards First Wave business activity.  These factors contribute to a strong headwind for US equities, which have benefited from strong foriegn influx over the last few months.Differing perspectives welcome.

The vaccines expected in early 2021 will help the US economy a great deal, but we'll still be far behind those countries who had the benefit of good leadership and the resulting relatively fast economic recovery.
