the main question here is: Can the Fed really afford to engineer a recession - which would mean a higher dollar - or will it stay put with a soft dollar. I am expecting a lower dollar until early November at least.

From my chart, something needs to send 10 year yield below the last low seen in March 2020 (0.31%). So it needs to fall towards 0.1%. What is it if it isn't a global crash?

There's always a choice. Increasing taxes on the rich for example would have exactly the opposite effect (and is likely with a Biden presidency)

Aaron Roberts  In the front of an election, maybe only after a few months ? Also, taxes will not solve problems with debt, manufacturing, racism, negative yields, dedollarization, middle class depreciation. Bubble will burst soon.

You think this is printing? Wait till global equities crash. Dollar needs to appreciate first and enter overbought territory before it can selloff again. And for it to appreciate, global markets needs to decline significantly and a rush to the USD causing it to be overbought. Then Fed steps in again.

And that is why gold will not go higher until a new rounds of stimulus, more printing, uncertainty like a real war (not cold War) is in the horizon.

USD will no longer be the reserve currency. The FED no longer dominates the world economy. USD is the old king who can barely make it up or down the stairs these days. It was a good run. FED. 107 Years not bad!

I am amazed at the bulls fighting the fed short term a month or two ain’t nothing to the fed, whose been around longer you guys might be right but you are fighting a battle that is greater than 6months away maybe years ahead today and bears dont get so cocky you are winning by default not by brains to say the least the fed literally said this is what we will do so chill

Our GDP is falling bro. Our EPS for USD is going down AND shares have been diluted. Also are you blind to the pending consumer debt and housing debt crisis? Also unemployment is worse than we are saying and not factoring in reduced work hours, higher business costs, failure of many businesses. PPP loans going to wrong people. Our economy is in a horrible state and it doesn't look very promising
