The sub-fund promotes environmental and/or social characteristics and complies with Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector (“SFDR”). This actively managed sub-fund uses the benchmark FTSE Global Convertible Index – Global Vanilla Hedged EUR Index as reference for performance evaluation, sustainability profile comparison and risk management purposes. The benchmark is not designed to promote ESG characteristics.

Biography Uli Sperl is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Active Equities team at UBS Asset Management. He is responsible for the management and strategy of convertible bond funds. The managed funds won several “Lipper” & “€uro am Sonntag” fund awards. He joined UBS in 2005. Before, he worked as a portfolio manager at Activest Investment in Munich. His responsibilities included global index-linked equity portfolios as well as European convertible bond portfolios. In 2008 Uli successfully completed the post graduate “Certified Rating Analyst” program at the Hochschule St. Gallen (HSG). Uli is co-author of the publication “The benefits of convertible bonds” and has repeatedly published on convert related matters in financial newspapers such as “NZZ” and “Finanz & Wirtschaft”. Biography Alain Eckmann is a Senior Portfolio Manager within Active Equities. He is responsible worldwide for the convertible bond capability of UBS Asset Management, which he built up since the year 2000. The managed funds won several “Lipper” & “€uro am Sonntag” fund awards as well as the Investment Europe ""Portfolio Manager of the Year"" 2014-2015 award. Alain joined UBS Asset Management in 1997. His responsibilities included managing and enhancing the capabilities offered (capital preservations, currency overlay, Dynamic Alpha), and developing tailored client solutions. During his studies, Alain worked for a private bank in Geneva, dealing with quantitative questions in asset management. After graduation, he built up a risk-management/risk-controlling department at Julius Baer in Zurich, developing mathematical methods to quantify market risks (VaR, etc). Alain is co-author of the publications “Exotic Options: A guide through the jungle of financial innovations” and “The benefits of convertible bonds” and has repeatedly published on convert related matters in financial newspapers. He is also a regular speaker at international conferences and, in addition, he is a member of the Swiss CFA Society and of the CFA Institute.
