Investment Strategy

The fund’s objective is to provide a high level of interest income. It invests primarily in bonds and treasury bills that are denominated in U.S. dollars and are issued by governments, corporations or supranational entities around the world. Securities will generally have at the time of purchase a minimum credit rating of BBB (low) or R2 (low) or better by Dominion Bond Rating Service Limited, or an equivalent rating by another designated rating organization.

Nicholas has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics & Political Science) from the University of Toronto and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Biography Shane Stuck has more than 20 years fund management experience in Canadian, U.S. and global financial markets. His experiences include working at the Bank of Canada and in private banking, and managed global insurance bond portfolios in Toronto and New York. He has also held responsibility for his firm’s currency hedging and derivatives strategies across multiple portfolios. Mr. Stuck received a MBA from the University of British Columbia and an Honours B.A. (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Biography Over the course of his sixteen year career, he has managed insurance, pension and other portfolios, including mutual funds at a major investment counsellor. He has also written a number of investment articles, given presentations on fixed income investment.
