The fund aims to maximise returns through a portfolio of gold and gold-related shares showing above average prospects for capital growth. The fund holds at least 80% of its portfolio in these shares at all times. The portfolio manager has the flexibility to diversify up to 15% of the portfolio in offshore shares within this sector. The fund strives to beat the JSE All Gold Index. The fund should perform well when the gold price rises.
