The aim of this Sub-Fund is to actively manage a diversified portfolio comprised predominantly of fixed income securities, Money Market Instruments, derivatives and deposits, with strategic emphasis on emerging market interest rate duration exposure and/or emerging market currency risk exposure. Fixed income securities and Money Market Instruments will be predominantly issued by and/or denominated or having exposure in the currencies of developing countries (“emerging markets”) in Latin America, Asia, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Measured over a period of several years this SubFund aims to beat the performance of the Index as listed in the Appendix II of the Company’s Prospectus. The Index is a broad representation of the investment universe. The SubFund is actively managed via currency allocation, curve positioning and instrument selection.

Biography | Lewis is a Portfolio Manager for the Emerging Markets Fixed Income team at FFTW and has responsibility for researching alpha ideas for Latin America. He joined FFTW in 2012 and is based in Boston. Lewis was a portfolio manager responsible for Latin America with Rexiter Capital Management’s emerging markets fixed income team. Prior to that he was a research analyst at Rexiter, a subsidiary of State Street Global Advisors, and also developed risk and analytics tools for Rexiter’s fixed income team. He joined State Street Global Advisors as a Portfolio/Performance Analyst for active and emerging markets equity strategies in 2005. Prior to that, he worked for Morley Fund Management developing risk and compliance systems. Lewis earned a Bachelors of Commerce degree in finance and management information systems from the University of Alberta in Canada. Lewis is a current CFA Charterholder. | ||

Biography | Marcelo Assalin, CFA, an Associate of William Blair Investment Management, LLC, the head of the Emerging Markets Debt team. He is also a member of the leadership team for William Blair Investment Management. Prior to joining William Blair, Marcelo was the Head of Emerging Markets Debt at NN Investment Partners (formerly ING Investment Management), a role he began in 2015. Additionally, he was the lead portfolio manager for blended debt portfolios. Previously, Marcelo was the lead portfolio manager for NNIP’s local currency strategies. Before joining NNIP in 2013, he was a senior EMD portfolio manager and then head of EM Sovereign Debt at ING IM USA (now Voya Financial). Prior to ING IM, Marcelo was with SulAmerica Investimentos in various investment capacities, including CIO from 2005 to 2008. He began his career as a credit analyst at Bank Boston in Sao Paulo, covering Brazilian companies. He also has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Biography | Marco Ruijer, CFA, an Associate of William Blair Investment Management, LLC. He is a Hard Currency portfolio manager on the Emerging Markets Debt team. Prior to joining William Blair, Marco was the lead portfolio manager within the Emerging Markets Debt team at NN Investment Partners (formerly ING Investment Management), responsible for managing EMD Hard Currency portfolios. Before joining NNIP in 2013, Marco was a senior fund manager for EMD at Mn Services in the Netherlands where he managed various EMD portfolios. Prior to this, he worked with the Investment Strategy and Risk Management team. Marco began his career in 1998 as an Investment Trainee at Mn. He also has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Biography | Raoul Luttik is a Managing Director of Neuberger Berman Investment Advisers LLC. He joined the firm in 2013 and is a portfolio manager for the Neuberger Berman Investment Advisers LLC’s Emerging Markets Debt team, responsible for managing Emerging Markets Debt Local Currency strategies. Raoul joined Neuberger Berman after working at ING Investment Management, where he was a Lead Portfolio Manager within their Emerging Markets team (local currency). He started at ING Investment Management in 1998. Raoul acquired a degree in Economics from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in 1993. In 1997 Raoul became RBA registered (Register of Investment Analysts) a registration affiliated with the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies. Raoul is also DSI qualified. |
