Investment Strategy

The primary objective of the Momentum MoM Emerging Manager Growth Fund is to seek long-term appreciation of capital through investments in securities of companies offering perceived high growth potential across all sectors of recognised stock exchanges. For the purposes of this portfolio, the aforementioned companies can be defined as those whose earnings are on or are anticipated to enter a strong and sustainable upward trend, higher than the general market over time typically trade on high price to earnings ratios (PE ratios) and have just finished their value cycle. The portfolio will be managed by a portfolio manager employed from a limited universe of portfolio managers. Although the portfolio managers making up this universe will be characterised by the fact that they are less known, only competent specialist portfolio managers will be selected for their particular investment style or preferred investment habitat.

Melissa’s expertise in constructing portfolios has led to her assuming responsibility for the company’s portfolio construction in 2011, in addition to her portfolio management and research duties. In her role as head of portfolio construction, she is responsible for the rules and principles by which portfolio managers construct and monitor their investment portfolios.
