Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to achieve a high level of sustainable income and stability of capital. It may comprise a combination of assets in liquid form, money market instruments, corporate debt, equities, bonds, property securities, preference shares, convertible equities, derivatives, non-equity securities and any other securities consistent with the investment policy. It may also invest in non-equity securities such as equity linked notes and derivative instruments such as futures and options linked to the equity exposure of equity linked notes. The manager may also include unlisted forward currency, interest rate, exchange rate swap transactions and participatory interests or any other form of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes consistent with the investment policy. Where the aforementioned schemes are operated outside South Africa, inclusion is subject to a regulatory environment that provides investor’s protection at least equal to that in South Africa.
