The Fund will be a flexible asset allocation fund. The Manager in selecting securities for the portfolio will seek to follow an investment policy which will secure for investors long term capital growth in real terms. In order to achieve this objective the investments to be acquired for the Fund, shall comprise a combination of investments in equity, bond, money market and property markets all to be acquired at a fair market value. The portfolio will predominantly invest in South African markets, but is however permitted to include investments in offshore jurisdictions subject to investment conditions determined by the Registrar from time to time. The portfolio may also include participatory interests or any other form of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar schemes.

Biography | David completed a B.Sc. Engineering at the University of Cape Town in 1993 and then spent 4 years working as a Civil Engineer. In 1998, he completed a MBA at UCT’s Graduate School of Business and was elected an Old Mutual Scholar. He started his investment career as an analyst with Brait Asset Managers in March 1999. In November 1999, David moved to BOE Asset Managers also as an investment analyst. In January 2002, he joined Stone Asset Management, later Decillion Fund Management, as a fund manager and investment analyst. At Decillion he worked as a fund manager for both the Big Rock and Headland fund teams and managed a long-only segregated portfolio. David was awarded his CFA charter in September 2002. David successfully managed a private investment partnership from March 2007 to June 2009 during a period of significant market turbulence. David is the CIO of Prescient Private Clients and is the portfolio manager for the Prescient Private Clients Flexible Unit Trust Fund. |
