Investment Strategy

A domestic general equity portfolio aiming to provide sustainable capital appreciation over the medium to long term. The portfolio will consist of equity securities listed on the JSE and assets in liquid form. The portfolio may include participatory interests or any other form of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar schemes in South Africa. The fund will typically hold no more than 20 stocks, resulting in a concentrated portfolio reflecting MitonOptimal’s view on the local market. The emphasis is on active stock selection, often resulting in performance that differs to the overall market. The manager may invest in financial instruments (derivatives). Nothing shall preclude the manager from varying the ratios of securities, to achieve the investment objective in a changing economic environment or market conditions and from retaining cash or placing cash on deposit. The manager shall reserve the right to close the portfolio to new investors

Biography	Roeloff is a Director and Fund Manager of MitonOptimal in South Africa. He is the Lead Fund Manager of the MitonOptimal IP Diversified Income Fund of Funds and the MitonOptimal IP Worldwide Flexible Fund of Funds. He is a founder and director of Eagle Asset Management (now MitonOptimal Multi-Asset Management, after finalisation of merger) and Bond Street Financial Services. He founded Bond Street Financial Services in 2000 and was instrumental in structuring the company as a Global Private Wealth Management Company, focused to serve a select group of financial advisors with investment advice and portfolio management services. He has managed the Sentinel Diversified Income and Worldwide Flexible Fund of Funds since its inception in 2005 and 2008 respectively.
