Biography Jens began his career in 1998 as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund, where he worked for the Research, Policy Development, Special Operations, and International Capital Markets Departments. He then joined Deutsche Bank in 2004, initially as Chief Economist for EMEA and Head of the Local Markets Strategy, and subsequently held senior research positions in both the Emerging Market and Global FX Research groups. Jens then joined GLG where he was part of the Global Macro Investment team. Following GLG, Jens joined Moore Capital in 2008 where he held roles in portfolio management and global macro analysis. In 2014, Jens joined Morgan Stanley as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Sovereign Research. He joined Emso in 2017 as a Long Only Portfolio Manager. In 2023, he became Co-Chief Investment Officer. Jens holds a PhD in International Economics and Finance and a MSc in International Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Biography As Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income, Federico Kaune oversees the management of all emerging markets portfolios, including research, formulation and implementation of investment strategy, and trading. Prior to joining UBS Asset Management in July 2015, Federico was Senior Portfolio Manager for Emerging Market Debt and Global Asset Allocation strategies at Baffin Advisors. From 2002 to 2014, he held various roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), including five years as Co-Head of Emerging Market Debt and Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for managing both hard and local currency emerging market debt portfolios. Before joining MSIM, Federico was Senior Andean Economist at Goldman Sachs for five years, and prior to that, he served as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C. Federico holds a Ph.D. and Masters in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the American Economic Association.

Biography William joined the team in 2012. Prior to joining Stone Harbor, William served as an Emerging Markets Corporate Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Prior to Morgan Stanley, William served as a Managing Director/Portfolio Manager in the Global Special Opportunities Group for Latin American Special Situations at JPMorgan/Chase. While at JPMorgan, he also served in a series of roles including Credit Risk Manager for the Global Head of Emerging Markets, Co-Head of Emerging Markets Corporate Research, and as a Vice President for Global Emerging Markets Debt Restructuring, and Latin American Capital Market. Prior to JPMorgan, William served as a Senior Associate in the Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Securities Inc. William began his career as an Associate in the Petroleum Division at Irving Trust Company. He attained a BA in International Relations and Economics from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance from the Columbia Business School.
