Investment Strategy

The fund, expressed in EURO, has as investment objective to seek to maximise total return, consistent with prudent investment management. The sub-fund will normally invest at least 80% of its net assets in Fixed Income 54 Securities (as defined herein below) denominated in currencies of emerging markets countries and in forwards or derivatives such as options, futures contracts, or swap agreements that give exposure to Fixed Income Securities denominated in the currency of an emerging market country. The sub-fund may, but is not required to, hedge its exposure to non-Euro currencies. Assets not invested in instruments denominated in emerging markets currencies may be invested in other types of Fixed Income Instruments. The sub-fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in debt securities issued by Mainland China issuers through Bond Connect program.
