Investment Strategy

The Fund’s objective is to maximize long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in equity securities of small capitalization Canadian companies. The sub-advisor uses a fundamental, bottom-up approach to identify companies with attractive valuations, proven track records and sustainable business models. The Fund invests primarily in equities of Canadian smaller capitalization companies. For the Fund’s investment purposes, companies with a market capitalization of less than $3 billion are considered to be smaller capitalization companies.

Biography Mr. Steven Kim joined QV Investors in March 2012. Mr. Jugovic is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Calgary. Biography Leigh founded QVGD Investors Inc. in 1996. He serves as President and Chief Investment Officer. His responsibilities include research analysis and portfolio management. Leigh Pullen has over 35 years experience in the Canadian investment market. From 1966 to 1977, he worked at the Toronto Stock Exchange, IBM Canada, and National Trust Co. Ltd. He left National Trust as Manager of Pension Fund Investments. From 1977 to 1996, Leigh was a partner, analyst, and portfolio manager at Mawer Investment Management, Calgary. Leigh is a past President of the Estate Planning Council of Calgary.
